Former Northacre sales boss launches new venture

Simon Edwardson's Wind Leaf will be offering up 'market leading advisory services for residential and commercial assets on a worldwide basis'.

The former head of sales at luxury developer Northacre has launched a new real estate advisory with global ambitions.

Simon Edwardson has founded Wind Leaf following a seven-and-a-half year stint at Northacre (the firm behind landmark PCL schemes including The Broadway, No.1 Palace Street and The Lancasters), where he managed over £2bn in assets and once put through £50mn of sales in a single week.

The pitch for his new venture promises “market leading advisory services for residential and commercial assets on a worldwide basis”.

A heavyweight board is being assembled, and the team has hit the ground running with a major project in Marbella. This will involve the delivery of a luxury development in the region for a family office, from the early stages of development design, through to the sales and marketing strategy.

Another mandate has been secured to advise and support the board at interior design and FF&E specialist LOFT, which is gearing up to launch a new offering targeted at the prime sector.

The client base also includes a number of family offices.

Pre-Northacre, Edwardson had a successful few years on the agency side, initially at Hamptons International, where he was the top negotiator in terms of both sales volume and income. He was subsequently poached by JLL to focus on new-build investment sales, and went on join Northacre in 2017.

Edwardson has transacted on over £1.5bn worth of real estate over his 15-year career

Speaking to PrimeResi, Edwardson said: “I am excited to announce that I have launched my real estate advisory firm, Wind Leaf.

“Following working for one of London’s leading developers, as well as JLL’s Investment team and Hamptons International I have decided to take the next step.

“We are an advisory business that helps asset owners, developers, investors and our other real estate related businesses with their assets in an unbiased, open and transparent way.

“As most people know it can be challenging to manage expectations in property. The need for impartial advice can be anything from problem solving to how to deliver a project that is relevant in the location to implement a placemaking or sales and marketing strategies for a fruitful exit.

“We have started with gusto and I am honoured to be involved in some very exciting projects.”
