Winkworth brings recruitment in-house

Estate agency franchise forms new recruitment department

Franchised estate agency Winkworth has brought its recruitment in-house, creating a new department to manage staff hiring for its c.100 UK offices.

Lucy King has been brought in to run the show as Head of Recruitment. She started out in 2005 as a sales agent with KFH, before moving over to property recruitment five years ago; King has since managed hiring for Chestertons and specialist resi recruitment agency LKPR.

The aim is to “enhance the company’s offering to franchisees” by providing “a personal, efficient recruitment service to ensure high standards of employment throughout the offices and drive their future expansion.”

Dominic Agace, CEO at Winkworth: “I’m delighted to welcome Lucy to the company. She will play a vital role in supporting the growth of our network and I have no doubt her extensive experience both front and back of house will be a great asset to us.

“Lucy’s appointment is an important step for us to further enhance our offering to prospective franchisees. We work hard behind the scenes to provide our franchisees with an exceptional back of house function, so that they can concentrate on what they do best – helping people to buy and sell their homes. We’re constantly on the lookout for talented individuals to join us, so if you like the idea of owning your own business with a fantastic support network behind you, contact us for more information.”

Lucy King: “This is an exciting time to join Winkworth and I’m thrilled to be a part of their network growth. As a franchised business, it’s already evident that each of ce has its own identity with a real entrepreneurial spirit, and I look forward to identifying those who could be our franchisees and employees of the future.”
