England & Wales house prices flat in June as London steadies the ship

A whole combination of factors - including stretched affordability, mortgage rates & non-dom changes – are acting to restrain prices in the capital, reports Acadata.

Values remain around 2% lower than a year ago and 6% below their late-2022 peak;

Q1 was the strongest period for more than two years, says research firm, although average prices remain nearly 5% below the previous peak in late 2022.
