A townhouse owned by art heir David Wildenstein has smashed a ten-year-old price record in New York.
The Upper East Side mansion (pictured below) has reportedly closed for $79.5m, according to The Real Deal, making it the most expensive townhouse ever sold in the city. Weighing in at 25,000 square feet, the property is 41 feet wide and used to house the Wildenstein Gallery.
The previous record was held by the Harkness mansion, which went for $53m in 2006.
