Whitehall Palaces For Sale: Government to sell off 80% of its central London buildings

A trio of historic and highly unusual properties have been put up for sale after the liquidation of a national building preservation trust.

21-23 Cromwell Road in South Kensington and 58 Knightsbridge, better known as the French embassy and consulate respectively, have reportedly been put up for sale.

St James, part of the Berkeley Group, has just bought a massive former convent in West London, which it plans to redevelop into a resi-led scheme next year.
