PrimeResi named ‘one of the world’s best’ real estate websites

News

Just five sites have been shortlisted in the Real Estate category at this year’s prestigious Webby Awards, including Zillow, Trulia - and PrimeResi.com

PrimeResi, journal of luxury property, is rather pleased to be named as one of the five best property websites in the world at the 2018 Webby Awards, alongside some international real estate giants.

The New York Times calls the annual awards “the internet’s highest honour”.

PrimeResi.com is the leading news, insight & opinion resource for the UK’s prime residential property sector. It was founded in 2012 by brothers Matt and Dan Crofton, and relaunched with a ground-breaking new website, created by FX Digital, in October 2017.

Just five sites have been shortlisted in the Real Estate category at this year’s Webbys, which is organised by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. We’re up against some stiff competition from multi-million dollar international players, which is in itself something of an honour. The full list of nominees is as follows:

  • PrimeResi
  • Realtor.com
  • Zillow
  • Trulia
  • Nooklyn

The Webbys received over 13,000 entries this year, from 70 counties. Other successful nominees at the 2018 awards include Spotify, Netflix, the BBC and Vanity Fair.

Nominations are now open for the People’s Choice Webby Award; we’d be eternally grateful if you could please vote for PrimeResi by 19th April!

PrimeResi is now firmly established as an essential tool for the major players at the top of the residential property market, providing intelligent, informed coverage of all the issues affecting the UK’s £2m+ resi industry, from market trends and government policy to planning and architecture; sales and marketing to design and interiors; new developments and construction to key people moves and senior job opportunities.

Our members are the movers and shakers at the top of the market, responsible for billions of pounds-worth of seven-figure-plus deals each year, while our contributors are the most opinionated and authoritative characters in prime property.

PrimeResi is edited by brothers Dan and Matt Crofton, and is published by Property Publishing Group Ltd. A hardback annual book, Croftons’ Prime Residential Almanac, is published as a companion to daily online news, opinion and features.

PrimeResi relaunched in October 2017, with a ground-breaking new website created by FX Digital in London. The new members-only site – now recognised as one of the world’s top five real estate websites – offers a completely unique subscriber experience. A bespoke interface provides an extensive set of features for users including saved articles, most read posts, ajax content-loading and even a custom members dashboard that collates preferred content from across the site.

Following launch the success of the new PrimeResi site has been incredible. Improvements to the site’s infrastructure and the prevention of users sharing logins increased gross subscriber revenue by 128.8% in the month following launch. New subscribers were also up 266% and average revenue per subscriber jumped by 75.3%.

The Webbys is judged by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, a membership organization comprised of associate and executive judges. IADAS was founded to help drive the creative, technical, and professional progress of the Internet and evolving forms of interactive media.

Academy judges including Jimmy Kimmel, Lyft CEO Logan Green, Girls Who Code Founder Reshma Saujani, Gimlet Media CEO Alex Blumberg, Instagram’s Eva Chen, social entrepreneur Van Jones, Internet inventor Vint Cerf, and Playmatics CEO Margaret Wallace, select the Webby Winners each year.

All Webby Winners will be announced on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, and honored at the 22nd Annual Webby Awards, hosted by Late Night’s Amber Ruffin, at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City, on May 14, 2018.

Matt Crofton, Publisher of PrimeResi, Journal of Luxury Property: “We’re chuffed to be nominated for a Webby Award in such illustrious company as Zillow, Trulia, Realtor.com and Nooklyn. Our relaunch last year was quite the undertaking, but the tremendous response from PrimeResi Members – and now this recognition by the IADAS – has been gratifying to say the least. Kudos to the team at FX Digital for not only realising our vision for a world-class top-end business-to-business news and opinion resource, but going above and beyond to create an exceptional user experience for our Professional Members.”
