lords it up with cricket sponsorship deal

With a comprehensive drubbing of New Zealand in the bag and and a rip-roaring Ashes series in the offing, hopes are unnaturally high for some English success on the cricket field this summer.

The behemothic Zoopla Property Group (ZPG) is so confident in fact, that it’s throwing the full weight of its brand into an exclusive sponsorship deal with the English Cricket Board (ECB).

ZPG has just announced a partnership with the ECB’s international venues which will see become an Official Test Match Ground Partner this summer. As part of the deal, branding will be plastered over all nine international, test match and one day venues including Lord’s, The KIA Oval, Emirates Durham ICG, Edgbaston, Headingley, Old Trafford, The Ageas Bowl, The SWALEC Stadium and Trent Bridge.

The advertising will run throughout all venues during the 37  days of international cricket this season (including the much anticipated series’ versus Australia), whilst the agreement also provides for “significant hospitality opportunities” at the various grounds, including (crucially) the run of the hallowed Long Room at Lord’s.

Alex Chesterman, Founder & CEO of Zoopla Property Group: “Cricket is the number one summer sport in the UK, enjoying very strong viewership and media coverage. And with England trying to retain The Investec Ashes this summer, interest should be even higher than usual. Partnering with the English Cricket Board and the International venues is a great fit for our brand and we are looking forward to further enhancing the brand profile of amongst this audience for the benefit of our members.”

Matthew Vandrau, Group CEO of Essentially: “As exclusive commercial agents to the Test Match grounds we are delighted to welcome to our family of partners. They are a perfect match for English cricket and we look forward to working with them across the Ashes summer to deliver a successful partnership.
