A developer and contractor specialising in high-end projects in some of the North West’s most prestigious enclaves has called in administrators.
Mason Lord has been behind a number of super-home schemes in places like Prestbury and Alderley Edge, piquing the interest of Premier League footballers and high-powered businessfolk alike.
Official records show the firm appointed Darren Terence Brookes and Molly Monks of corporate recovery specialists Milner Boardman & Partners on 25th August.
In an interview with Insider last year, director John Mason said: “Demand is quite strong in Cheshire. The marketplace is growing because of the movement away from London of professional businessmen up North…so they’re not only moving into high-powered jobs up North, they’re bringing with them the capital that they made on their properties down South,” adding that the value of some of the company’s finished properties “could ultimately be anything up to £20m”.
Just last year the firm made regional headlines for buying St Helens-based Paragon Construction out of administration, saving around 30 jobs.
