London Square has put in plans for its biggest endeavour so far, involving the transformation of a DIY superstore in Wandsworth into a major new scheme.
The sprawling site near Wandsworth Town station, currently housing a B&Q, has been reimagined by HawkinsBrown as a mixed-use quarter with 14 resi blocks of eight to 15 storeys delivering 517 new homes and plenty of business/retail/restaurant space.
A nearby Homebase superstore is also about to be turned into a resi-led scheme by York Place Buildings, incorporating 275 new apartments and a new HQ for the Royal Academy of Dance.
London Square’s other projects include the transformation of the Star & Garter on Richmond Hill, along with major new-build schemes in Fulham, Putney and Wimbledon.
