Little Britten: Pint-sized Chelsea pad asks £600k

One of London's smallest freehold houses valued at £2k psf

A minute townhouse in Chelsea has hit the headlines this week after coming up for sale at £600k.

Described as “a proper Chelsea gem”, the miniature one-bed cottage on Britten Street is one of London’s smallest freehold houses (it makes that super-skinny house on Peel Street that came up in September seem like a mansion).

Nestled between St Luke’s Gardens and the truly excellent Builders Arms, No.20 has been in the same hands for half a century and now needs a complete revamp, but some serious elbow grease could pay dividends; agents D&G are billing it as a “terrific opportunity” and muse on a potential value of £1m…

The asking has been set at £600k, which works out at a shade over £2,000 psf. Here’s the tour (it doesn’t take long)…
