Markerstudy Group has unveiled its Stiff + Trevillion-designed 55VS scheme in Victoria.
A £4bn regeneration programme is predicted to shift the area into the crosshairs of PCL buyers and tenants over the coming years, with Victoria Station’s £700m makeover – scheduled to complete in 2018 – playing a key part in the transformation.
As such, 55VS is an important project for SW1 – in the vanguard of the high-end wave – and the team has gone for the “industrial, contemporary style of Manhattan loft apartments combined with the look of a boutique hotel”.
The 57 one- to four-bed apartments and penthouses go up to 3,100 square feet, with 2.9 metre ceilings and 5-metre wide floor-to-ceiling windows. Studio L is in charge of the interiors and the spec includes Danish charcoal-fired brick cladding, bronzed balustrades, handcrafted terracotta glazed tiles, high end marbles and dark timber flooring. Residents have access to a communal 8th floor Sky Garden, a 24-hour concierge, gym and ZipCars.
The Modern House has been instructed to launch the apartments, which are priced from £1m.
