Law firm Howard Kennedy has brought Pervaze Ahmed on board to head up its burgeoning real estate offering.
Formerly of Charles Russell and Blake Morgan in London, the prime and super-prime specialist has a particularly strong client base across the UK, the Middle East and South East Asia and acts for HNWIs, families, companies, trust companies, trustees, investment and trading companies and banks.
He’s bought and sold over £100m worth of houses and flats for clients in the last 24 months alone, and was instrumental in one of the biggest house deals of last year. The Eaton Square mansion (below), where Conservative ministers plotted to replace Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain with Winston Churchill during the Second World War, ended up going through at over £25m.
Pervaze Ahmed: “I am delighted to have joined Howard Kennedy. The firm has a strong reputation in the real estate market, acting for some of the largest and most exciting developers in the UK. I am excited at the prospect of be being able help the practice grow and develop.”
Julian Hindmarsh, Partner and Chairman of Howard Kennedy’s Real Estate team: “Pervaze is recognised as one of the leading residential property lawyers in London and he will be a real asset to the firm and our clients. He will also play a significant role in HK One – Howard Kennedy’s concierge service for high net worth clients with complex legal needs. We are thrilled by his decision to join the firm and I look forward to working alongside him as he develops our residential practice further.”
