Singapore developer GuocoLand is gearing up to launch a 21,100 square foot triplex crowing the city’s highest apartment building.
The remarkable unit starts on the 62nd floor of Wallich Residence, the luxury resi element of Tanjong Pagar Centre, an ambitious “vertical city” delivering homes, offices, a five-star hotel, retail and a 150,000 square feet urban park.
181 apartments are being built as part of the scheme, including four penthouses and this so-called “Super Penthouse”, which will have five bedroom suites, a vast family room, a “stately” dining room, a 600-bottle wine room, and an epic private terrace with its own 12-metre pool, bar, cabana and Jacuzzi room.
The marketing bumf adds that the new owner will enjoy the services of a dedicated butler, for whom “no request is too trivial”.
According to Bloomberg’s sources, the apartment is due to be formally launched later this year with an asking price of S$100m (£56.31m), which would – if achieved – set a new city record.
The market has been bearing the brunt of some pretty hardcore cooling measures of late, which have led to an estimated 15-20% fall in luxury prices over the last four years, although there’s now talk of things bottoming out. This ultra-high-profile proposition will certainly test that theory…
