Grand Registry: £1m+ sales fall by over a fifth

Total of 427 seven-figure resi sales recorded by the Land Registry in October, down from 552 in September

The Land Registry recorded a total of 427 £1m+ resi sales across England and Wales in October, well down on September’s tally of 552. The number of £1m+ sales in London also fell, from 297 in September to just 233.

The biggest of the bunch weighed in at £11.25m, which bought an impressive six-storey period townhouse on South Kensington’s Thurloe Square, complete with six bedrooms and oodles of original features.

Significant sales were also lodged on Regent’s Park’s York Terrace East (£9.5m) and Primrose Hill’s Wadham Gardens (£7.975m).
