Former Savills Marketing Director joins Heaton & Partners

Buying agency brings in two senior recruits: a Home Counties specialist and a property marketing guru

London and country buying agency Heaton & Partners has recruited two new senior sorts to its seven-strong team, bringing in a new Associate to cover North Surrey and East Berkshire, and a long-playing former Savills Marketing Director to boost new business.

Charles Phillpot joins the firm to manage business development and marketing. Originally an ad-man who then worked for diamond outfit DeBeers, he spent 20 years from 1988 as Marketing Director at Savills, effectively positioning the Super-Brand as well as running Development Marketing operations. He formed Adventis Group as a separate marketing subsidiary to Savills in ’98, floating the firm on the stock market in 2004, and then sitting as a Director for no fewer than 14 companies. He’s since done a realm of marketing and consultancy gigs, including working as Business Development Director at Chesterton Humberts.

At H&P, Phillpot is charged with bringing in more UK and international business, and increasing media coverage.

The well-connected May Rahmani has also joined Heaton & Partners this month, as a Cobham-based Associate to give more coverage to the property search team in the North Surrey and East Berkshire area. Rahmani has previously run her own property search/acquisition business and has worked for top firms including Royalton, Harrods Estates, Sotheby’s International Realty and Savills.

Walton Street-HQd Heaton & Partners started life in 2013, in the aftermath of Property Vision’s downsizing on exit from HSBC, and merged with Merlin Dormer at the beginning of this year.

Edward Heaton, founder of Heaton & Partners: “May and Charles will both be first class additions to our team and I am delighted to welcome them to our growing business. Their considerable experience, standings and reputations will be of great value, having worked for some of the most prestigious names in property between them. This will strengthen our offering considerably and allow us to expand.
