Luxlo’s 77 Mayfair scheme – which managed a per square foot price “within touching distance” of £7,000 last year – is offering residents what it claims to be the fastest broadband in the UK.
The South Audley Street development is now connected to the web via symmetrical gigabit (1,000Mbps) broadband speeds, thanks to a “future-proofed” connection by Hyperoptic, working with A/V company Nucleus. Residents should now be able to stream 4K movies while still following Snapchat and checking in on Bloomberg and updating the Benz all at the same time.
Rohit Chadha, Managing Director at Luxlo, the developer of 77 Mayfair: “We have applied meticulous detail to every aspect of 77 Mayfair to ensure that the development is truly best-in-class. Having the UK’s premium and fastest broadband was essential to give an added finesse to the 77 Mayfair experience. With a gigabit connection, our residents can get the best out of their technology and gadgets – Audio Visual teams have been into the apartments to ensure that systems are ready for the residents arrival.”
David Walker, Head of Property, Hyperoptic: “77 Mayfair is one of the most prestigious developments to have been built in the capital in the last decade. Buyers of apartments in this iconic property will expect to experience the best that a C21st luxury development has to offer – and access to gigabit broadband speeds from day one perfectly addresses this.
“We developed a bespoke solution for Luxlo and also ensured that the development is future-proofed for advances in technology; even the car park has been connected so the residents can be the first to fully enjoy the connected car experience.”
Durgesh Sinh, CEO, Nucleus – the Audio Visual company working with Luxlo in 77 Mayfair: “The high bandwidth and service availability from Hyperoptic will prove invaluable. In the Audio Visual market we are at a stage where technology is out performing most Internet connections. With Sky Q, Netflix, Kaleidescape and others providing 4K “UHD” solutions, the deployment of these is only half the challenge. Clients in some cases find the services unusable in the real world, once every member of the house is online with their devices. Hyperoptic will enable residents in 77 Mayfair to stream, browse, download, video call and consume media without skipping a beat. At Hyperoptic’s gigabit connection speeds, it will feel like the content is locally stored within their homes, reducing buffering times to zero.”
