Hybrid estate agency Purplebricks is overhauling its business model, transitioning its network of local sales agents from self-employment to fully employed status.

"Today we present Purplebricks 2.0," declares CEO Vic Darvey, as the hybrid estate agency sets an ambition to double its market share to 10% of property sales over the next few years.

Trading at the heavyweight online estate agency has been "ahead of expectations" in the last six months.

Chris Beckwith joined Purplebricks as Chief Sales Officer from Foxtons in March, but has left after less than two months in the job.

“Longer-term, we have become more cautious on Purplebricks’ ability to win material market share,” says UBS.

“We are now emerging from the pandemic in a very strong competitive position,” says Purplebricks boss Vic Darvey.
