My research focuses on understanding the psychological factors and qualities that confer risk or resilience for physical health and well-being related outcomes. I am particularly interested in how procrastination, perfectionism, loneliness, and traits linked to negative mood create vulnerabilties for poor health, and how qualities such as self-compassion, gratitude, and time perspective, play a protective role in health and well-being The health outcomes I study range from stress and health behaviours, to physical illness symptoms, chronic illness, and the treatment-related behaviours people engage in to manage their physical health.
