Zoopla moves to a bigger home

Property portal kingpin Zoopla Property Group (ZPG) is upping sticks and moving a good five minute walk down the road from its current base on Union Street in Southwark.

harlequinbuildingZPG’s Zoopla, PrimeLocation, SmartNewHomes will all be heading to a 14,400 sq ft space (two floors) in the new Harlequin Building in SE1 – which was marketed by the landlord as “A Smarter Location” – in early 2014. The new digs will be almost twice the size of ZPG’s current office space.

ZPG now has over 200 staff and claims that over 90% of all UK estate agents and developers advertise on its platform.

Alex Chesterman, Founder & CEO of ZPG: “We have grown very fast in terms of our audience and customer base and the team behind our growth has also expanded rapidly. As a result, we’ve outgrown our current offices and have been looking for a new home for some time. Southwark has seen enormous regeneration over the past few years and is a vibrant and exciting place to work. We’re delighted to be staying in the area and to have found great space in the Harlequin Building and are looking forward to moving into our new home in early 2014.”
