Sotheby’s International Realty is continuing its global expansion, opening a new Italian outpost in Sardinia.
The new branch, the company’s first on the island, is in the rather lovely seaside resort town of Porto Cervo, in the Costa Smeralda region. It joins other Italian SIR offices in Milan, Rome, Florence, Como, Turin and Lake Garda; SIR now has around 900 branches around the world.
The team will be offering sales and rental services – including high-end holiday lets.
Clemente Pignatti Morano, managing partner of Italy Sotheby’s International Realty: “We are very excited about the opening of the office in Porto Cervo, our first office in Sardinia, which takes place during a very encouraging time for the Italian real estate market. The region has always played host to a dynamic and attractive selection of properties and is perfectly in line with the luxury brand of Sotheby’s International Realty. The last two years has seen a positive trend with plenty of Italian customers returning to Costa Smeralda to purchase property. Moreover, in 2016 over one million properties were sold across the country; this figure has not been seen since 2011, and reveals an increase of nearly 19% in residential sales compared to the previous year.
“In 2016, the Sotheby’s International Realty brand reached a record global sales volume of $95bn. The arrival of an important brand like Sotheby’s International Realty in Sardinia is generating considerable interest from potential buyers. The strength of our global marketing is enabling us to offer a unique service to our Italian and foreign customers.”
