On Locations: Canary Wharf’s rise onto London’s prime residential scene

After 40 months of on-the-trot growth, prices in prime outer London have finally seen a fall, dropping by 0.2% in October according to the latest from Knight Frank.

Living above commercial units can command a price premium, claims Mayfair estate agent Wetherell, as long as the brand downstairs is right.

Buying Agency Middleton Advisors has worked out that the cost of buying a £1.5m ish property in London has risen by 1% over the last five years, from 4.8% of the purchase price in 2009 to 5.8% in 2014.
