Mortgage approvals fall again, but remain above pre-pandemic levels
UK borrowers repaid £1.4bn of mortgage debt in July; it's only the second time in a decade that the Bank of England's data has shown a net repayment.
New mortgage lending dips by 10%
10.6% fewer homemover mortgages completed in November 2019 compared to the same month a year earlier - although the decline "reflects particularly strong home-purchase activity in November 2018"
