Belgravia-based developer-slash-design-house Morpheus has hired one of Linley’s chief minds to run its interiors and design output.
Alex Isaac has taken over as Head of Design at Morpheus, replacing Charu Gandhi (who joined from Candy & Candy just 12 months ago), having previously been Creative Director at interiors super-brand Linley. Isaac started out in superyachts, working at Jon Bannenburg’s design studio, before setting up his own practice in Switzerland in 2008, working with luxury homes across Europe and the UK. He moved to London in 2012 to take up the Creative Director role at Linley, where he was fairly instrumental in the firm’s total overhaul.
Morpheus has completed a solid number of high-end projects in the UK and further afield, such as the Chelsea Townhouses on Pond Place in SW3 and the 9,000 sq ft Ashberg House on Cathcart Road SW10; current projects include the interior design & brand creation of a members club in Monaco.
Alex Isaac: “I am delighted to have joined such an experienced and talented team at Morpheus. Their ability to deliver ground-breaking projects around the world whilst maintaining a bespoke approach to design is second to none. I look forward to working with them.”
Andrew Murray, Chairman of Morpheus: “Morpheus has undergone significant growth over recent years and this new appointment will further galvanise the skills of the team to deliver exceptional levels of creativity and support our active ambitions for further growth. Alex is greatly respected in the industry and we are delighted to have him on board.”
