Lutyens mansion sold off in St James’s Square mega-deal

UAE developer Emaar Properties has decided to launch its super-ambitious new tower scheme at a no-expense-spared showcase at Harrods of London.

Plans to turn a grotty Mayfair car park into a 296,000 square foot neo-classical scheme worth an estimated £2bn have received the initial thumbs up from Westminster planners.

Buyers have snapped up a whopping £145m worth of resi units at the redevelopment of the former North London Mail Centre in Islington since the scheme launched in December.
