Lib Dems abandon ‘crude’ mansion tax in favour of new Council Tax bands

The Liberal Democrat's party president has come out swinging with yet another angle on the mansion tax.

Seven in ten MPs believe that an extra higher rate of council tax is a better option than a new mansion tax on high value homes.
