House price optimism hits highest level since 2010
OBR cuts 2020 house price forecasts by 5% – but the Budget won’t affect the market
The Office of Budget Responsibility has revised its medium-term forecasts for the property market down by 5% to +34.1% by Q1 2020, but not as a result of yesterday's Budget.
In real terms, that's a +13.

PPR Estates director, Nick Hopkinson, has lambasted today’s ONS House Price Index figures, slating the report as "simply an analysts' field day."
In a statement today, he said;

HMRC's seasonally-adjusted resi transaction count for June has come in at 104,590, up 4.7% on May 2015 and the highest monthly total seen since February of last year.
