Annual house price inflation climbed to 2.5% in August – UK HPI

The average UK house price dipped by 0.5% in January, according to the latest official UK HPI, leaving the annual rate of change at a still-high +7.5%.

The official house price index indicates that property prices are rising at the fastest rate since 2016. In London, however, the average property value dropped by 1.2% in October.

London continues to be the UK region with the lowest annual growth, for the sixth consecutive month.
