Greenland Group has launched a very swish marketing suite, designed by Argent Design’s Nicola Fontanella, for its Spire London skyscraper in the Docklands.
The 2,974 square foot suite, located in an historic warehouse next-door to where the tower will stand on Hertsmere Road, offers a peek at interior looks-and-feels in the 771-foot 67-storey tower, which has a GDV in excess of £800m, as well as a six-foot light-up model. Spire will be the tallest residential building in the UK and Western Europe, providing 861 apartments (765 for private sale), along with the usual luxury accoutrements (concierge, retail space, residents’ gardens, cinema room, spa and “Club Bar”). The tower has been designed by multi-award winning architectural practice HoK, with interiors by Argent Design.
Warehouse No.1 (the suite’s address) is a Georgian sugar and coffee warehouse, built in 1802-1803 by the West India Dock Company, overlooking the 30 acres of water in West India Quay. The marketing space planning was inspired by the layout of the tower, and divides into three parts to echo HoK’s nautical- and orchid-inspired design of the new tower, where three petals form the spire, creating faceted glass façades and maritime “prow” and “bow” contours.
Sales started on 13th October, with build completion scheduled for 2020. More than 1,180 people have registered some kind of interest in buying in the tower since the launch of the sales and marketing campaign last month. CBRE and JLL are on marketing duties.
Yuliang ZHANG, Chairman and President of Greenland Group: “In our view this is one of the most outstanding marketing suites in London Docklands. For anyone interested in the capital’s finest new homes, our new marketing suite is a ‘must see’ space. Spire London will create a new iconic landmark on the London skyline.”
Wenhao QIAN, Managing Director of Greenland (UK) Investment Ltd: “Our marketing suite has been designed to give visitors a comprehensive insight into Spire London. They can watch the film about the tower, view the architecture and mixture of uses from the scale-model, and visit the show apartment and specification suite to get an insight into layouts and finishes. For purchasers interested in the tower a visit to the suite is essential.”
Nicola Fontanella, Director of Argent Design: “Spire London is an iconic tower of the future built on a historical site and surrounded by history. This fusion of history and modernity is replicated in the marketing suite through the warehouse setting combined with the new flowing interiors. Spire London offers buyers alluring homes designed to bring light, lateral living, flowing curves and dramatic views into the living spaces.”
