Countrywide shareholders wave Connells deal through

Connells, which is in the process of buying a majority stake in Countrywide Plc, has signed a "landmark" five-year agreement with Zoopla, setting itself up as the property portal's first "innovation partner".

Countrywide will hold a Special AGM next month to vote on the proposed Connells takeover.

Massive estate agency group takeover "unanimously rejected" by Countrywide, as another private equity deal is proposed.
