Hotel owner and property developer Dominvs Group has completed on a resi development site in the rather affluent Whetstone neighbourhood in North London.
The site on Friern Barnet Lane lies about 600 metres from Totteridge & Whetstone Underground Station, near to the High Road. The area is, according to Foxtons, the 63rd richest area in the UK – although that’s largely thanks to an array of mansions on Totteridge Lane.
Dominvs owns quite the portfolio of hospitality properties, including five Holiday Inns around the country, and has plans to open new hotels next to Tower Bridge and in the middle of Oxford in 2018. On the resi front, the firm has a history of delivering high-end single houses and multi-unit schemes in North and central London; recent projects include an eight-unit scheme on Willow Place in Victoria SW1, 14 flats just off Sloane Square, and the gated Regent’s Courtyard development next to Regent’s Park.
The developer is aiming to submit plans for its new Whetstone site to Barnet Council in March 2017.
